what do i do when i wake up with a swollen eye that has puss type stuff?

My eye was swollen & puffy with some yellow "gunk" in it

It may be due to bacterial conjunctivitis. See doctor for proper diagnosis and doctor may prescribe antibiotic eyedrops.
