I am trying to get a solution to my sunburn,dry skin. Are taking cold showers & applyung moisturizers to the affected areas at all helpful in helping to heal the sunburn skin? What supplements or foods are helpful for this condition?

Here are few tips:

Make a paste by mixing equal amount of sandalwood and turmeric with a little cool water and apply gently to the sunburned area.

Apply aloe vera lotion or gel on the affected area for soothing effect.

Drink coconut water or coconut milk.

Eat lots of fruits and drink lots of fluids.

Avoid spicy and fermented foods.
